Why is it a fixed fee of $30 per night?

Here at Wagging Tails Rural Retreat we aim to keep our pricing as simple as possible. We don’t discriminate between breed, size or medication requirements. We feel that your dog’s exercise should be part of the service not an additional cost.

04

What if my dog doesn't mix well with others?

It is important that you notify us about your dog's social skills on the application form. We will then assess your dog's level of socialisation to ensure both your dog's and other guests safety is not jeopardised. We will still exercise your dog if it can't run with other dogs.

What if my dog requires extra attention with socialisation?

We will initially spend time to socialise your dog as a normal part of your dog's stay. We have additional  one on one training lessons available.

What are the sleeping arrangements like?

Our kennels are enclosed, insulated with heated flooring. We have both trampoline and cushion bedding available or you can supply your own bedding. For company we prefer to pair dogs that are similar but they can be solo if preferred.

What if I can't make the regular shuttle service times/locations?

Please call us ASAP and we will endeavour to see what other arrangements may be possible.

What if my dog requires medication / special care?
We are not a medical facility but we can administer medication at no charge and supply basic care. Our local vet is on hand  for any specialised care required with costs forwarded to yourself.

Can I bring in bedding and/or toys?

Yes, you are most welcome to bring anything you think will make your dog's stay more enjoyable. If your dog wears a jacket at night we encourage that your dog still wears it.

How much exercise will my dog receive?

This depends on your dogs social skills, we run the well socialised dogs together from 8am until late afternoon weather permitting. If your dog has difficulty we will run them seperately.

What vaccinations are required for dog boarding?

All dogs need to have a C5 vaccination given 5 days or greater before check in, however for best protection we recommend the Intranasal Bronchi-Shield 3 vaccination given 8 days or greater before check in. Dogs must be flea free.

What happens if my dog gets sick during its stay?

We have the team at Braidwood Vet Surgery on call 24/7. Costs will be forwarded to yourself.
